Black Widow- Above Average Avenger

Black Widow (2021) was directed by Cate Shortland and stars Scarlett Johansson as her iconic role, Black Widow. This movie revolves around her trying to find the mastermind behind all of the trained widow soldiers. Once Natasha meets up with her old family, they gang together to find the red room and stop the evil once and for all. I want to start off by saying that this movie puts out a strong message of women empowerment. Each of their characters felt powerful and heroic. I think that it set a great example for all the young girls who want to become superheroes themselves. The acting in the movie was done really well with stand out performances from Florence Pugh and David Harbour. Both of them were not only incredibly talented actors, but they also put their amazing comedic chops to use. As a Marvel movie should, each of the action sequences were perfectly shot and directed. I will be deducting points from the film because I feel that they only developed Natasha's character and left all the others in the dark. There are so many new and interesting characters in the film and I felt like they could have added more to the film with a little more substance to them. Also, the end credit scene is amazing and had me excited yet again for the things to come.
