Freaky- Serial Switcher
Freaky (2020) was directed by Christopher Landon and stars Kaythrn Newton as Millie. Millie is a girl who isn't the most popular girl at school. One night after a football game she is attacked by the Blissfield Butcher (played by Vince Vaughn). He casts a spell and switches bodies with her. Can Millie switch back within 24 hours or will she be stuck in his body forever. I wanted to see this movie so bad when it came out, but never found the time to do so. I was missing out! This movie was great! Such an awesome premise with great use of horror and comedy! Vince Vaughn was great in the film when he was in Millies body. He had me cracking up throughout with all his mannerisms and quips. Even though this movie was a great comedy, it also had tons of surprising gore. Some of the kills were so graphic that they made my jaw hit the floor. The movie was also written and directed well. It kept me engaged throughout. I do feel like the movie could have ended a lot earlier. The ending scene was a little forced which led to the last line of the movie feeling really dry. Otherwise, I'd totally recommend this film! I cannot believe that this concept wasn't done before! It gave the idea of body switching movies a whole new meaning.
