Game Night- Game On

Game Night (2018) is directed by John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstien and stars Jason Bateman and Rachel McAdams as a couple who loves to be competitive. Each week, the have a bunch of friends over the house to play a bunch of board games but when Max's brother comes into town, he demands to hold Game Night at his place. He is very wealthy and promises to hold the greatest game night ever. He has a fake murder mystery in place but at the same time, actual robbers come into the house and take him away. As the people slowly realize that the scene wasn't fake, the all must figure out how to save him. This movie is by far the best comedy of the year. I was laughing out loud in the theaters as the movie progressed. There wasn't a moment where I wasn't paying attention. One of my favorite scenes comes in the middle of the movie when Max is going to his neighbors house to get information on some criminals. His neighbor is a cop that just lost his wife so he is glad that it looks like he was brought the sacred game night. Once Max sneaks into the back, his gunshot wound from his arm starts to leak and by the time he realizes this, his neighbors small white dog is drenched in blood. The whole scene had me in tears as he tries everything to get the blood out of the dogs fur. The whole cast is perfect. The only problem with the movie was the ending. The first time I thought the movie ended was brilliant and rounded off the movie really well. Sadly, this great ending was ruined by the extra 20 minutes that were added on to the end. Kinda unneeded if you ask me. Still going to be in my top ten movies of the year for sure.
