It- worth the 27 year wait

It (2017) was directed by Andrés Muschietti and stars Bill Skarsgard as the menacing Pennywise the clown. He returns to the town Derry every 27 years to take away the kids of the town. We then meet our group of kids played by, Finn Wolfhard, Jaeden Lieberher, Sophia Lillis, Jack Dylan Grazer, Wyatt Oleff, Jeremy ray Taylor and Chosen Jacobs. These kids may all be different, but they all have one same objective, to kill this clown. The movie has one of the best child acting I have ever seen. These kids were all played perfectly and it really made me care about each and every one of them. Pennywise was as scary as ever. I loved every scene he was in but I wish he was in the film more! The movie felt perfect in length. I was never bored throughout and was always on the edge of my seat. I am beyond excited for chapter 2 later down the line to see how this story progresses. My one gripe with the film was Henry Bowers. I know that the older people in the town are intentionally made to be terrible people, but I feel like he was at such a dark space to start the movie, that it was harder for him to get worse without going crazy. This film is an example of how to reboot a franchise. I loved how the movie was original, yet still included everything it needed to, to honor the original. I cannot wait for its eventual sequel.
