Mortal Kombat- Flawless Victory

Mortal Kombat (2021) was directed by Simon McQuoid and stars Louis Tan as Cole Young, the great grandchild of the legendary ninja, Scorpion. Cole is summoned by Lord Raiden, the God of thunder, to join him in his battle to save earth realm. I want to start off by saying that this film perfectly represents its source material. I love how this great universe was used in the film. All the characters looked great. The fight sequences were intense and graphic. The fatalities were also top notch! It was everything a fan of the series could have wanted. The one major problem I have with the film is how long the setup takes for the characters to join up. After that point though, the action is nonstop and very entertaining. I have to give a shoutout to my personal favorite character Kano, (played by Josh Lawson). His one liners and quips were by far one of the best elements of the film. I do also have to make a note of my favorite part of the film. The Mortal Kombat theme is legendary and is barely used, but when it is used, it gave me goosebumps. The movie leaves the story open for a sequel and to be honest with you, I'd sit though multiple movies in this saga if they were made like this one. Very impressed with this one.
