Parasite- Leeching Guests
Parasite (2019) was directed by Bong Joon-ho and stars Woo-sik Cho as a young man trying to provide for this lower class family. He is given a job as a tutor for a very rich family. Once he is there, him and his family make the other people who work for the family loose their jobs. Once his entire family has moved into the house faking what they say they are good at, the secrets that the rich family are hiding start to show their true colors. This movie was pretty amazing. I absolutely adored how this movie was acted and directed. The movie does comedy and suspense perfectly which made the movie beyond watchable. My eyes were glued to the screen the entire time. This was a brilliant concept for a film. The fact that each member of the family eventually got a job in the house and it seemed realistic was impressive. There was one scene in the movie where the owners of the house were coming home early and our protagonists had to clean up the massive mess they made. This scene is a reason to watch the movie in itself. The birthday party scene at the end of the film was haunting and expertly shot. There is one flaw with the movie though. The pacing in the first 45 minutes was poorly done and it took me out of the story. Other than that, this movie is a must watch.
