Slenderman- The worst movie of all time
Slenderman (2018) was directed by Eric Knudsen and stars Javier Botet as the Slenderman himself. A group of teenage girls are at a slumber party and decide to go on the internet to look up some myths on the web. By accident, they summon the Slenderman into their world. They slowly discover his presence and decide how to survive him. I want to star off by saying that this was the worst movie I have ever seen in my life. Not only was the movie not scary in the slightest but it was laughably boring as well. I have never wanted a refund more. The cast is awful with the cast trying to be carried by Joey King. I usually like her work but I was disappointed by her performance in the film. Her friends are also dumb as rocks. The one rule is to not open your blindfold when you're in the woods around him but of course she takes it off! It was beyond frustrating sitting through this one just due to how stupid the characters decisions were. Slenderman himself looked awful. There was even a moment where he chased someone in a library and he literally model walked after her. The movie doesn't know what it wants to be at all. There wasn't a solid plot point throughout the film. The film relied on scary imagery to get its scares across. I honestly wish that the film went with an R rating because it could have gone so much farther than it did. The film was based on a video game from 2012 and it honestly should not have been made. I would rather watch any other movie twice then sit through this one again. I recommend to watch if you're genuinely serious about seeing why I hate the film as much as I do.
