Strangers Prey at Night- Trailer Park Terror

Strangers Prey at Night (2018) was directed by Johannes Roberts and stars Bailee Madison as the daughter of a family who is looking to go on vacation before the new school year starts. They venture to a trailer park that is owned by family. Once they arrive, everything seems off. No one is there and their family isn't responding to their calls. A knock at the door from a stranger sends them into panic mode as they realize that the night is about to turn terrifying. The film did a fantastic job with setting up the suspense. As soon as one of the strangers starts the attack, chaos ensues as they all start to go after the family. There were even a couple moments in the film of true heartbreak throughout and the pool scene near the end of the film was by far the best sequence in the film. Otherwise, the film is full of a bunch of cliche horror tropes. From the strangers you think are dead coming back to jump scares you can see from a mile away. The first movie was honestly a lot scarier due to the facts that it was in a small home. This movie misses the point because it is in an open place. The places to hide where everywhere when in the first movie, they couldn't go anywhere. The movie also put the series to a close which was very interesting. I thought that a franchise like this would add a lot more on to the mythology to these characters. Sadly the franchise ends on a sour note here.
