The Lion King- A graphical upgrade

The Lion King (2019) was directed by Jon Favreau and stars Donald Glover and Beyonce as Simba and Nala. If you have seen the original, you basically know what you're in for here. Simba is to become king when his evil uncle Scar comes and kills his brother Mufasa to take the throne for himself. The movie is gorgeous. It is by far the best animated movie I have seen. I do have a problem with it though. The lip sync was occasionally off at times in the movie to where it really caught my eye. Seth Rogan stole the show as Pumbaa. He was hilarious and he brought a new light to the role. I also appreciated the sound design of the movie. Every lion fight scene and thunderstorm shook the theatre. I did hate the new versions of the songs. There was way too much pop implemented into the songs. I honestly just wish they were left alone and sang who they were originally intended too. I even turned towards my brother when watching and admired with him how authentic it really felt. All in all, The Lion King (2019) is what you should expect when seeing an upgrade like this. Disney has started with these types of films and they don't seem to be stopping anytime soon.
