The Nun- Praying the movie away

The Nun (2018) was directed by Corin Hardy. The movie stars Taissa Farmiga as a Nun in training as she is brought back to the Monastery where all of the sisters there were killed off. Once she realizes how bad the situation is there she asks for the help of Father Burke, (Demian Bichir) and a farmer boy named Frenchie, (Jonas Bloquet) . Once they arrive, they don't know the horrors that await them. The movie itself was said to be, "the scariest movie ever" and that the trailers were, "too scary to show on television." I am going to be honest with you, I was only scared maybe two times during the film and those were the annoying out of nowhere jump scares. I never found myself on the edge of my seat unlike I am with the much better Conjuring movies. The Nun herself had too much CGI to really scare me. The one positive thing about the film was Taissa Farmiga. Her acting throughout was brilliant. She did the best she could with the mediocre film that was given to her. The Nun honestly felt just like a cheap cash in on an entity that was shown off in one of their other films. The movie itself felt rushed to get it in time for the halloween season, but I would have rather seen the movie at a later time when it was more polished. I would recommend the film to the people who love the Conjuring films.
