Top 5 Best Movies of 2021
5. Ghostbusters Afterlife

What a surprise this film was! I am not a massive fan of the franchise but this movie had me invested the entire time. Of course some things could have been different but I was very impressed with how they used the source material to make their own story! Cannot wait to see where the next installment takes us!

4. The Last Duel

This movie did not get the love and attention it deserved. A brilliant cast is utilized to a tee here with a great script. I loved the way the film was shot and directed. The scenes of war were brutal and had me on the edge of my seat. The drama that went down was heart wrenching and the ending was satisfying. Sadly, due to the bomb at the box office, this film will be forgotten by most, but for the people who tuned in, we witnessed a movie for the ages.

3. Stillwater

This is the second time Matt Damon has appeared on my list this year! He is slowly becoming one of my favorite actors and this is a prime example as to why. This story is brilliant. We follow Matt Damon as he goes to another country to prove his daughters innocence. A tense and suspenseful crime family drama is presented with great direction. Another movie that flew under the radar this year that deserves to be watched. Please do yourself a favor and see this one as soon as you can.

2. Spiderman No Way Home

Now I know what you're going to say, why is a 10/10 rated lower than this film? It's that way because this film was not just a piece of cinema, but an experience. It made me laugh, cry and cheer with others who cared about this property like I did. This movie is packed with action, suspense, drama and comedy. It is by far my favorite Spiderman movie and one of the best Marvel movies of all time. Stay away from social media until you go see this for yourself. A masterpiece in superhero cinema and a movie experience that I will remember for the rest of my life.

1. A Quiet Place Part 2

I didn't think that this movie would be better than the first but I was absolutely blow away by this one. John Krasinski did it again. This horror movie is beautiful, frightening and full with deep character moments. The suspense is dialed up to eleven with the branching story that continues to unfold. There is another planned movie and I have no idea as to how they are going to top this. The wait was well worth it as A Quiet Place Part 2 gets my movie of the year award!
